Chickasaw Point’s Property Owners Association (POA): is managed by an elected, seven-member Board of Directors.  The community is protected by Covenants, Bylaws and Building Requirements, and property owners are required to be members of the Association. 

 Chickasaw Utility: Chickasaw Association owns and operates its own water and sewer company, Chickasaw Utility, and is also the sole shareholder of Chickasaw Point Golf Association and The Overlook restaurant.

    Upcountry Fiber is a high-speed fiber internet provider to the five counties of Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, and Spartanburg. Establshed in Fall 2020, Upcountry Fiber is the product of a partnership between Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative and WCFIBER. Founded by organizations created to electrify and connect rural areas of South Carolina; decades later, Upcountry Fiber’s mission is to bridge the digital divide. Offering symmetrical internet speeds up to 1 Gbps over a fiber network, Upcountry Fiber has the fastest and most reliable high-speed internet in the area.

  • Chickasaw Point community has its own Utilities Company (CUCO) that is responsible for the waste treatment plant. The community uses a grinder system for processing its sewage.

  • Yes, all in the community have the convenience of lake access with the community’s lakeside beach that offers the best viewing site for sunsets. Residents can also make use of the community’s courtesy dock and boat ramp for boating access to the lake.

    Chickasaw Point’s marina slips are currently full. Boat slips come available for sell periodically. The community offers long term storage for boats (covered and non-covered) for a fee.

  • The local school system is Oconee County Schools with schools through High School nearby.

  • The closest airports are Greenville/Spartanburg and Atlanta International Airports.

  • The closest grocery store is within 13 miles in Lavonia GA. However, most residents choose to shop in Seneca, SC where there are many retail offerings in Seneca SC. There is also a Dollar General near the entrance to Chickasaw Community.

    In addition, groceries can be delivered to homeowners through Walmart’s home delivery or using Instacart.

  • Most working residents work from home or work in the surrounding areas such as Seneca, Clemson, and Anderson, South Carolina.
