Amenities FAQ

  • Yes! Your friends and family are welcome to join you in enjoying our community amenities, including the beach, pickleball and tennis courts, swimming pool, and community events. Please note that these facilities are reserved for you and your guests as part of their visit and are not open for public use.

    The Overlook restaurant and the Golf Course are the only open-to-the-public amenities in Chickasaw Point.

    • Community center (no charge for events that are open to all Chickasaw Point owners). For private events: $300 Security deposit; $75/day Upstairs; $300/day Main Floor; $75/day Kitchen with rental of main floor, dishwashing not included; $75/day Game room, if rented separately.

  • The POA will clean floors and restrooms and remove trash but will not be expected to clear or clean dishes from tables and carry them to the kitchen. Dishes, glasses, pots, and pans will be cleaned by the property owner renting the facility. The POA member agrees to dispose of any litter such as napkins, paper plates, cups, etc. in plastic bags, ensure that tables, chairs and other items are returned to their proper area and ensure that all areas are generally left in an orderly condition. NO tape of any kind may be used on wall or doors throughout the Community Center.

  • The pool is typically open mid-May to the end of September.

    Maintenance staff vacuum the pool, hourly staff clean the facility, and a contractor maintains the pool water.

    Pool Rules:

    The POA member is responsible for adherence to these rules by guests and self.

    1. Only POA members in good standing and their guests may use the swimming pool.

    2. No lifeguards are present. Therefore, all activities conducted in the pool complex are at the individual’s own risk.

    3. Children under thirteen must be continuously accompanied by a responsible adult (at least 18 years old). 

    4. Swimmers must wear proper bathing suits. NO CUT-OFFS!

    5. No food or drink is to be brought to the water’s edge.

    6. Glass containers will not be allowed in the pool complex. Everyone is expected to dispose of all waste in the cans provided. NO LITTERING!

    7. During the threat of thundershowers, swimmers must clear the pool for a minimum of 30 minutes.

    8. The activities and conduct of any swimmer must not interfere with the safety and enjoyment of others.

    9. If you cannot swim, you cannot be in the deep end of the pool.

    10. No artificial flotation devices of any kind are allowed in the deep end of the pool.

    11. No pets are allowed in the pool complex.

    12. No hanging on the ropes. The dividing rope is a DHEC requirement, and the pool must close if the rope is broken.

    13. No diving in the shallow end of the pool.

    14. No flips (forward or backward).

    15. No running or horseplay in the pool complex.

    16. No diapers are allowed in the pool.

    17. Use good judgment and common sense.

    18. Any abuse of pool equipment (skimmers, jet rings, etc.) will result in loss of pool privileges.

    19. Tables, chairs and lounges are available on a first come, first served basis. Cabana equipment is for use by Pool Operations only.

    20. The pool complex is a tobacco free area.

    NOTE: Pool complex is defined as entire area inside the fence.

  • Exclusively available to residents and their guests, the newly enhanced RV Park at Chickasaw Point offers an ideal solution for visitors, short term stays, or those building a custom home in the community. It features seven sites with power, sewer, and Wi-Fi. User fees apply.

    The RV Park at Chickasaw Point provides a welcoming, well-maintained and monitored amenity, offering brief stays for property owners, and their family & friends. The RV Park may offer an extended-stay option available to lot owners during the active construction period of building a home within the community. We may at times offer pre-defined Package Stays to the public. The RV Park is not intended to be used as full-time residence.

  • Chickasaw Point offers residents the convenience of both covered and uncovered dry storage options for boats, trailers, and RVs, providing a secure and accessible solution for their recreational vehicles. User fees apply, subject to availability. Please contact poa@chickasawpoint.com to inquire about availability.

  • Chickasaw Point has 14 garden plots that are available for a fee. The community garden has an irrigation system and an electric fence that does a good job keeping out the critters. There are 2 storage bins that store our tillers, water lines and tools.  The plots are on a first come first serve basis and can be reserved from year to year.

  • The Lending Closet, located in the Community Center, offers residents temporary use of essential items like high chairs, power tools, and wheelchairs.

  • The library is in the Community Center.

    There is no sign-out sheet - just take your selections and enjoy!

    If you wish to donate books at any time, just drop them onto the table in the library. There is a list of categories currently not being accepted due to space limitations posted on the wall above the table.

  • At this time, all slips have been purchased. Some residents will sell or rent out their boat slips.

  • Consult the Community Calendar to see when the courts are reserved for different groups and to find the one that is right for you.

  • This is an organized effort to add to the community’s outdoor amenities, including an easy access fitness trail, expanded pickleball courts, bocce ball, and horseshoe pits.

    This effort is privately funded through community fundraising activities and is outside of the POA’s budgeted funds for the community’s existing amenities.

    Updates are provided periodically at the monthly POA meetings.
